Japan vs Netherlands

Monday, June 21st, 2010

On Saturday I got last minute tickets to the Japan vs Netherlands game. I was all about supporting the Dutch due to my Ginger heritage but quickly switched to shouting for Japan once I saw how into their get-up they were. Here are some shots of fans.. friends shots to come next…

“It was swell but the swelling’s gone down” – Tank Girl

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

My soon to be sister in law (Lee-ann) and her boyfriend Justin recently gave up city life for a rural, partly subsistence existence in the “Kei”. Their dream was to open a back-packer style surf/safari tour operation (Swell Tours) and since December have made that dream a reality.

Needing to check it out after hearing such amazing stories we headed down in the beginning of this month. The location is stereotypically Transkei. No running water, electricity only via generator, green hills, clear as crystal night skies, freshly caught seafood, and epic surf. I have a few more photos I need to process but these are the ones I’ve worked so far. Looking at these I just want to go back. It’s an honest, simple life down there, but hard as Chopper Reed to get right. Well done guys, and thanks for the awesome holiday.

Go For Gold Motherf***er

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Sunday was epic. A highlight of all Sunday’s past. Spent the day with my fiancé and some of my closest friends minus one. Here is some kind of a visual diary of the day with a title taken from one of the day’s endless, soon to be infamous quotes. From our starting out in the forrest in Umhlali to making our way to the sunset lookout to dinner at the Bush Tavern, Umdloti’s finest.
