Holy crap well if it hasn’t been almost half a year since I last posted. How is that even possible? 2012 went by so damn quick. Happy New Year.. 2012 came and is flying by so fast. I am so manic but needed to sneak this little guy on here. My wife gave me an iPhone 4s and here’s a photo from it. Have lots to upload this month so check back soon.

I had been saying I was going to do this for ages and now I am. Thank you to Jacki Bruniquel for bursting my procrastination bubble!!

So this is the deal. I am going to be doing two, two day lighting workshops in late January 2012. One over a weekend and one during the week. Dates will be confirmed shortly with venue but just putting this out there to feel which weekend / dates suite those interested.

The workshops will cover: getting to know your flash; on camera light; off camera light; multiple off camera light; light shaping; flash durations and a bunch more interesting aspects. Speedlights are affordable, weigh very little and most importantly are easily transportable allowing you to manipulate light on the go in most scenarios. What you want to achieve with them will be your decision, my job is to teach how to get what you want without the headache.

Please get in touch if you interested. I will have remote triggers for you to play with should you not have your own. This will be a hands on workshop and you’ll get to see your progress as we go. I will be posting images often on my Tyrone Bradley Photography facebook page to show examples of work purely lit with speedlights. I shot the winter range for Black Hawk last week Friday and am really stoked with what I managed to achieve lighting wise with only my speedlights. You can do so much more than think with those trusty little flashguns. I use Nikon SB800’s myself and love them. I’ve had them for years and they have taken some brutal knocks and performed perfectly straight after time and again. Check out Stobist if you want to know more about speedlight photography. So here’s one of the shots for the denim range. Edgy, raw and hard is what we were after, think I got it. Thanks to Simon and Davey for the good times. I got married three months to the day today and as a treat my sister in Jackie Bruniquel gave us our engagement pics. They are so flippin awesome and I can’t help but spread the amazing work she did and does on a daily basis. Check out her blog for yourself and see the whole shoot. It says it all.

Shot these quite a while ago at a friend’s birthday and was reminiscing yesterday when I realized I hadn’t posted them up. So here are some golden oldies…

If you like Deathcore (Ra ra ra ra rrrrraaahhhhh) you should check out Bringing a Shark to a Gunfight. I’m sure their lyrics are positive but you’re never gonna make out a single consonant. Think that’s why people just stand around and punch the air at the shows. Good fun though.
